Nollywood veteran actress, Rachel Oniga, is dead at the age of 64. Her death was confirmed to reporters by the National Secretary-General of Actors Guild of Nigeria, Abubakar Sanusi.
It was also gathered that the actress passed on at about 10 pm Friday, July 30, after a mild ailment.
Until her death, Oniga was one of the most popular and influential actors in Nollywood and she made her Nollywood debut in the 1996 hit movie, ‘Onome.’
She went on to star in several big productions including ‘Sango,’ and Wale Adenuga’s television series, ‘Super Story.’
Her most recent movies include ‘Chief Daddy,’ ‘Royal Hibiscus Hotel’, and ‘My Village People.’
She is survived by three children and several grandchildren.
