Traditional, religious and political leaders, as well as women and youths of Ukpute and Bonta Communities of Oju and Konshisha Local Government Area of Benue State, have resolved to end the lingering crisis in the areas to pave way for peaceful boundary demarcation.

The resolution was reached at the end of their meeting with State Governor, Samuel Ortom in Makurdi, the state capital.

Representatives from the two feuding communities were brought together by the state chief security officer in yet another attempt to make peace.

Since the lingering crisis is land-related, both parties have agreed to create an official boundary acceptable to both communities.

A communique released at the end of the meeting also addressed the closure of the access road from Konshisha to the Oju Local Government Area.

Both local councils equally resolved to work together to create a police post for the area.
