Reactions have continued to trail the process and outcome of the All Progressives Congress, APC, primary election in Anambra State which produced Senator Andy Uba as the candidate.
While some aspirants are rejecting the declaration of the Governor Dapo Abiodun-led electoral Committee others argue that the contest has been won and lost.
George Muoghalu, one of the aspirants is protesting the conduct of the exercise, insisting that there was no primary election across the 21 local government areas of Anambra State.
On his part, Senator Andy Uba told reporters in Awka, the Anambra State capital, that the primary election that produced him as the candidate of the APC was a free, fair, and credible exercise, appealing on aggrieved party members as well as Aspirants to join hands in ensuring that APC emerges victorious at the November 6 governorship poll.
Party leaders said that although there may be some complaints arising from the conduct of the primary election, action has, however, shifted to the use of the party’s internal mechanisms in resolving all issues.
