ICPC appeals to Nigerians to resuscitate their lost values of honesty and truthfulness

The Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offenses Commission, ICPC, has appealed to Nigerians to resuscitate their lost values of honesty, truthfulness, and integrity.

The appeal was made by the honourable member representing the South-South zone of the Commission, Dr. Grace Chinda, in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.

The ICPC was inaugurated on September 29, 2000, by then Nigerian President, Olusegun Obasanjo, to foster the fight against corruption.

For more than 20 years of existence, the Commission has recorded several successes has identified the role value reorientation played in the fight against corruption and the need to dialogue with stakeholders in different zones of the nation.

However, the stakeholders zonal dialogue was inaugurated in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, South South Nigeria.

Organizers of the event called on traditional rulers, women leaders, and the youths to collaborate with them in order to achieve personal responsibility, national unity, and human dignity.
