The group stage of the Euro 2020 ended on Wednesday with defending champions Portugal scaling through to the knock out stage as the best third placed team.

Cristian Ronaldo scored a brace to take his tally to five at this year’s competition equalling the all-time record of109 goals by Iran’s Ali Daei in international football to help Portugal to a 2 all draw against France in Group F.

 The defending champions will now face world number one Belgium for a spot in the quarter finals.

Germany who finished second in Group F with four points after a two-all draw with Hungary in their last group match will take on England who are searching for their first triumph.

Five-time winners Italy who are yet to concede a goal at the tournament will be up against Austria for a place in the last eight.

It’s Croatia versus Spain, Wales, and Denmark trade tackles, Netherlands will go toe to toe with the Czech Republic while Sweden and Ukraine do battle.
