Makinde reiterates commitment to prioritize security in Oyo State

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, says his administration will continue to prioritize and take the security of life and property seriously in the state.

The chief security officer of the state stated this at the official inauguration of the Oyo State Security Network Agency, also know as Amotekun Corps Governing Board.

The Governor used the opportunity to caution people not to politicize security issues in the state.

The inauguration of the board of Oyo State Security Network Agency also known as Amotekun is coming on the heels of insecurity bedevilling the state and the country at large.

The chief security officer of the state tasked the agency to be proactive and address security lapses in Oyo state.

Reacting to issues of insecurity in the state, the Governor said that security is a collective effort and should not be left to the Government alone.

Oyo State Amotekun Board is chaired by RTD Bri- General Ajibola Togun, Col Bisiriyu Olayanju as state Commander, and Iyabode Enitan, Secretary. With the inauguration, it is hoped that the security of the state will improve.
