A joint statement by the International Olympic Committee and the International Paralympic Committee revealed that spectators will be allowed to watch the games.
This is contrary to a recently released medical report that holding the games without spectators, was the least risky option. The games scheduled to begin on the 23rd of July is expected to have an estimated 10,000 spectator limit.
The spectators do not include the organisers (delegates and sponsors)
There are plans to introduce further restrictions if a surge is triggered such as reducing the number of spectators.
