The United States Centre for Disease Control and Prevention has downgraded the restrictions that prevent American citizens from visiting Kenya and South Africa due to COVID-19 concerns.
The ongoing vaccination campaign against the Coronavirus has been cited as the reason for this development.
The US however has warned citizens to be wary of travelling to the Kenya-Somalia border due to insecurity.
Kenya’s travel advisory has been dropped to level 2 from 4 while South Africa has been dropped to level 3.
