Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, says elected officials who demonstrate accountable leadership should be commended.

The former Vice President stated this at a commissioning ceremony in Yola, the Adamawa State capital.

Atiku was in Yola to commission the first overhead bridge in the state, constructed by the Ahmadu Fintiri administration, as part of activities earmarked to celebrate the government’s two years in office.

The overhead bridge is one of the urban renewal campaigns of the Fintiri government.

Governor Fintiri said the significance of situating the project in the state capital is to ease traffic.

Dignitaries at the event said the scorecard of the Fintiri-led administration in the two years is commendable.

The slogan of the second anniversary of the Fintiri administration is, “no one is left behind, and nothing is left untouched.”

With this, Adamawa people are hopeful of the dividend of democracy in every nook and cranny of the state.
