Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel, says recent media reports that he is defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC, are laughable.
Governor Emmanuel said this in Oron when he kicked off activities to mark his sixth year in office with the commissioning of some road projects.
It was meant to be the commissioning of some road projects in Oron LGA but the headliner was the governor’s position on recent reports that he was perfecting plans to join the APC.
While commissioning Oron Road, Custom Road, Market Square, and Murtala Muhammad Road with 2km outfall drains, Governor Emmanuel announced that ferry service between Oron and Calabar was in the pipeline.
Leaders of Oro nation said the Governor had done well.
Governor Emmanuel assured the people that he would complete all ongoing projects in Oro while assuring that the state government would partner with security agencies to make the coastline safe.
