Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has inaugurated members of four agencies in the bid to strengthen government machinery.

Performing the ceremony at the Executive Council Chamber, Government House, Owerri, Uzodinma urged the members to display their wealth of experience in the service so as to restore confidence in government.

The agencies inaugurated are the Civil Service Commission, Imo State Universal Basic Education Board, Local Government Commission, and Imo Internal Revenue Service.

The Governor implored the new appointees to show commitment, bringing their vast experience to bear in their assignments.

He also warned them not to be distracted by praise singers who are only after the downfall of the government.

Responding on behalf of others, the Chairman Civil Service Commission, Julie Onyeukwu, reassured their determination to inject positive change to the system.

The Governor, however, urged the appointees to quickly key into the developmental agenda of his government and noted that there would be zero tolerance for corruption.
