Ondo Organised Labour Calls for Sack of Official For Slapping Pregnant Woman

Organised labour in Ondo State has called for the immediate sack of an official of the state government, who allegedly slapped a pregnant environmental officer, Adeola Egbebi, while on duty.

The official, who is the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu on Special Duties, Doyin Odebowale, denied the allegation, while the State Government vowed to investigate the incident.

Last Thursday, news broke out that the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu on Special Duties allegedly slapped and molested Egbebi while on duty in Akure, the state’s capital.

Egbebi was later hospitalised. The development generated different reactions in the media.

Days after, organised labour in the state staged a protest, demanding the removal of the Governor’s aide over the action.
