Nigeria’s Director-General, NAFDAC, Mojisola Adeyeye has disclosed that the Pfizer BioNtech COVID-19 vaccine has now been approved in Nigeria for emergency use only.
The approval comes two months after the approval of the AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccine was aproved within the country.
Nigeria has received a total of 4 million AstraZeneca vaccines and hopes to receive 29.8 million doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccines via the African Union.
