Don’t like getting jabbed, well there’s some good news for you, Pfizer’s CEO, Albert Bourla disclosed that the pharmaceutical giant is working towards a COVID-19 pill that could help treat the illness at its first sign after clinical trials,

The drug is to be made available before the end of the year if approved by the USFDA. The drug classified as protease inhibitors in medicine will help inhibit an enzyme that helps the virus replicate in the human body.

The same methods have been used for other viral pathogens such as HIV and Hepatitis C. Pfizer and BioNTech’s vaccine was the first authorized vaccine in the United States.

Some medical experts claim that the drug could be a game-changer as infected people could use it without having to make trips to the hospital, also it would prevent the illness from getting worse.

Bourla believes the drugs could get approval for adolescents.
