The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has attributed the current surge in insecurity to the inaction of the Federal Government which clearly demonstrates that it has adopted the activities of the killer herders or Boko Haram as the case may be.

Governor Ortom who stated this at the Government House in Makurdi restated his call on the federal authorities to proscribe the Fulani socio-cultural organisations as terrorist groups.

The steady decline in security across the country has become a general burden open to discussion at many forums with a visit of the General Superintendent Assemblies of God’s Church not being an exception.

Governor Ortom did not pass up the opportunity to wade off any perceived land grabbing agenda insisting that he will not be intimidated.

The chief executive wholeheartedly appreciated the General Superintendent’s visit and words of encouragement which he said is a constant reminder of God’s promises.
