The police in a Bayelsa State are battling to unravel the circumstances leading to the mysterious death of a young master baker, Temple George, inside his bedsitter apartment in Yenagoa, the state capital.
The lifeless body of George who hails from River State was discovered after neighbours forced his door open after he had not been seen for two days.
Facts as to what may have led to his untimely demise are still shady. Nobody in the one-storey building located at the Old Mister Biggs road in Yenagoa appeared to have heard anything before the corpse of George was found on the 17th of April.
While speculations over the possible cause of his death have gone haywire in town, there are, however, indications that the baker may have died at the hands or while in the company of someone he was comfortable with as there was no sign of any forced entry into his apartment.
The Bayelsa State Police Command said they are launching a discreet investigation into the matter.
According to neighbors, the deceased was someone who minded his business and never attracted any attention. He was also described as a creative person who has won several awards at his place of work.
The neighbors want the police to conduct a diligent investigation to unravel the true cause of his death.
George’s death has become a hot topic of discussion in Yenagoa, a city where youth homicide is a subject of serious concern among residents.
He died just four days to his 30th birthday.
