A widow, Blessing Abah, from Ogugu in Kogi State, accused of infidelity leading to the death of her husband, Goodnews Abahhas opened up for the first time on the cause of her husband’s death.
Blessing Abah in a chat with reporters said she was wrongly accused of her husband’s death, hinting that her late husband was diagnosed with a known medical condition at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital.
She said her in-laws have been mounting pressure on her to give a cultural and traditional coloration to her husband’s death.
Abah described the experience as traumatizing and the traditional coloration given to her husband’s death as worrisome.
She is no longer alone in the battle to clear herself of any wrongdoing as the Kogi State Office of the Public Defender and Citizens’ Rights Commission has promised to pursue the case to a logical conclusion.
