Tottenham has sacked its manager, Jose Mourinho, and his entire coaching staff. The London club announced the sacking of the Portuguese in a statement on the club’s website naming Ryan Mason as his interim replacement.

The statement credited to Chairman, Daniel Levy, who affirmed his cordial working relationship with Mourinho said that the Portuguese gaffer is a true professional who showed enormous resilience during the pandemic.

Levy thanked Mourinho and noted that the Portuguese will always be welcomed at Spurs.

Mourinho replaced Mauricio Pochentino as Spurs manager in November 2019 and guided the club to sixth in the Premier League.

The North London side are currently seventh on the Premier League table.

Unconfirmed reports suggest that the Portuguese had refused to take his team out on training on Monday morning following Tottenham’s decision to join the breakaway European Super League.
