The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, ASUP, Federal Polytechnic Bida Chapter, says it will continue to pursue its agitations for an improved learning environment across the country.
The Chairman of Federal Polytechnic, Bida Chapter, Abubakar Danasbe, disclosed this in an interview with reporters in his office.
The union over the years had engaged the government in discussions on how to improve the decaying learning environment in states and federal polytechnics across the country.
Danasbe expressed with concern, the level at which teaching and learning are taking place in the higher institutions.
He pointed out some of the lingering issues that have led to the ongoing strike. The Chairman also emphasized the importance of Technical Education, on the nation.
Some of the students expressed their feelings on the industrial action by the Lecturers.
The striking polytechnic lecturers assured the public that they will be ready to go back to work, once their demands are met.
