The Nigeria Army has reiterated its commitment to synergise with other security agencies to fight insecurity across the country.
The Acting General Officer Commanding, GOC, Three Division of the Nigerian Army Jos, Brigadier General Bello Mohammed, made the statement when he paid a familiarization visit to Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed.
Few days after he assumed office as General Officer Commanding, Nigeria Army 3 Division, Brigadier General Mohammed said the aim of the visit is to commend and appreciate the Bauchi State Governor for the support he is rendering to the Nigeria Army formations in Bauchi, as well as to have a general knowledge on the security architecture of the state, in order to rid the region of crime and criminality.
As no meaningful development could be achieved without the presence of peace, Bauchi State Governor enjoined the GOC to deploy more forces to aid the state against banditry among others.
Governor Mohammed also assured his maximum support, especially in the area of social amenities, to enable the soldiers to discharge their statutory responsibility effectively.
