Less than 48 hours after an inferno that destroyed billions of naira worth of goods and services at the Katsina Central Market, another fire incident has occurred at the sentence building of one of the state-owned tertiary institutions, Umaru Musa Yar’adua University.
But in a swift reaction to the incident, the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Abdulhamid Danjuma, said it was a minor fire incident.
Danjuma stated this in a short WhatsApp message posted on a group as seen and obtained by Plus TV Africa.
The institution’s image maker said, “It was just a minor fire incident in the Senate Building caused by a spark from an air conditioner. And in less than three minutes, the fire was put off. No loss of even a single document and neither was there any destruction whatsoever.”
