Dan Orbih, the South-South National Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government to stop playing politics with the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.

Orbih, who stated this in Benin City at a luncheon organised for him on his elevation as the leader of the PDP in the region, said that the NDDC today is now an institution of fraud and scandals to the detriment of the region because of the failure of the present administration to constitute a substantial board for the Commission.

The event was organised for the national Vice Chairman of the PDP South-South region by Tony Anenih junior.

Speaking at the luncheon in his honour, Orbih said it’s time for the people of the Niger Delta region to rise up and ask President Buhari’s administration to constitute a board for the NDDC.

The Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, his Deputy, Philip Shaibu, were among top PDP chieftains who graced the occasion.

Chieftains of the PDP at the occasion believe Orbih will protect the interest of the South-South region as the party prepares for the 2023 presidential election.
