When you own the fastest growing fashion brand worldwide estimated at over $5 billion, you naturally become the richest black man in the United States. That is what Kanye has now achieved with Yeezy.
Despite his solemn divorce from Kim Kardashian, many are elated that just four years after Kanye confessed he’ll become a billionaire, despite owing some $52 million, he seemed to have made his dream come true in record time.
Kanye is a lot of things but he turns out he’s not the giving up type when it comes to his ambitions at least. In one of his interviews, he recalled how he was opportune to pitch his designs in a flight with the head of Adidas who finally gave him a shot.
Although Yeezy was listed as a small part of th Adidas company which was worth $25 billion as of 2018, the deal with Adidas remains in effect till 2026 but is fully owned by Kanye.
Kanye who last year claimed he was worth way more than estimated by Forbes last year, pretty much doubled in net worth after signing a 10-year agreement deal with GAP to sell his designs and clothes under the Yeezy GAP label.
Even though Kanye West is unpopular for his wild takes and crazy thoughts, he stays winning even in his now-Christian career and we can all learn something from that.
