Niger Delta Bishops Call On Ex-Agitators To Promote Peaceful Co-existence

In a bid to sustain the peaceful co-existence of different faiths in the country, some concerned Niger Delta Bishops and ministers of the gospel have deemed it fit to take their peace campaign rally to traditional institutions across the region.

The servants of God made the call in the Okochiri Kingdom, palace of ex-agitator king, Michael Ateke Tom, in Okirika Local Government Area, Rivers State.

The National President of the Niger Delta Bishops Forum, Moses Omonkhuale, and its National General Secretary, John Peters, in their peace rally visit said their mission was to solicit for the peaceful wellbeing and progress of the region and country at large.

King Michael Ateke Tom who responded through his Chief of Staff, Akalogbo Tamunotombia, thanked the gospel ministers for the honour done him, hinting that God Almighty gave him the wisdom to oversee the affairs of his people.

The bishops seized the opportunity to award the monarch, “Spiritual Warrior”, for his immense contributions to the struggle for the emancipation of the Niger Delta region.
