Suspected bandits have again launched a fresh attack on Jargaba village of Bakori Area Council of Katsina State, killing one person and abducted two others.

According to a source who spoke on the condition of anonymity, the attack occurred in the early hours of Wednesday at about 1 am.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the source hinted that the deceased, Ibrahim Kwatahi, was a businessman, while his two children, a male and a female were abducted after the attack.

He noted that the bandits who entered the town on foot carried out the attack. They also carted away huge sums of money from the deceased’s house.

The source further said that the vigilante group in the area who trailed the assailants reported that the bandits moved the abducted children towards the neighbouring forest, in the Faskari Area Council.

When contacted for comments, the Police spokesman in Katsina State, Gambo Isah, said he will reach out to the Divisional Police Officer of the Area and revert.
