The Nigeria Customs Service, Zone D Bauchi, says it has arrested suspected smugglers with 670 rounds of cartridges, and two suspected Indian hemp dealers.
The Comptroller, Joseph Omoniyi, said the Command has equally made nine seizures, among which is the nearly 580, 50kg bags of foreign rice, worth nine million seven hundred Naira.
The suspects confessed to the crime.
Nasiru Mudi, the Commander of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency, (NDLEA) Metropolis Operations, Bauchi, commended the efforts of the Nigeria Customs Service.
Other contraband items seized are, 573 bags of 50kg foreign rice, 35 litres of foreign vegetable oil, 45 bales of used clothing, 50 bags of foreign mosquito coil, and 175 cartons of foreign soap, among others.
