The Supreme Court has affirmed the conviction of a former Governor of Plateau State, Joshua Dariye, who was sentenced to 14 years for corruption-related offences and breach of trust.

The apex court, however, quashed the charge of criminal misappropriation of funds which carried a two-year sentence.

The decision was handed down Friday in a judgment on the appeal filed by Dariye.
