Oyo State Police Command has confirmed that 75-year-old Iskilu Wakili that was arrested some days ago by some members of Oodua People’s Congress, OPC, is presently in their custody.

The State Commissioner of Police, Ngozi Onadeko, made the confirmation at the Eleyele Police Headquarters in Ibadan, the state capital, on Tuesday, while speaking to reporters on the issues surrounding the arrest of Wakili, who has been allegedly terrorising residents of the Ibarapa area of Oyo State.

Speaking with Wakili, who is presently at the state criminal investigation department at Iyaganku, in Ibadan, the 75-year-old said that he has no connection with kidnappings and killings by alleged Fulani herdsmen in the Ibarapa community of the state.

It would be recalled that Wakili was captured by some members of the OPC, who allegedly burnt his house and killed a woman in the process on Sunday.

However, the leadership of OPC in Oyo State has debunked the story saying it will not tolerate any form of injustice on its members.
