Police AIG pledges to stamp out banditry, other crimes in Katsina and Kaduna

The new Assistant Inspector General, AIG of Police in charge of Zone 14, Katsina, Mukaddas Garba, has pledged commitment to stamp out banditry and other crimes in both Katsina and Kaduna States, as well as the entire Northwest zone.

The AIG made this known when he paid a courtesy call on Governor Aminu Bello Masari in Katsina State.

He also said he will effectively collaborate with the Commissioners of Police in the zone, other sister security agencies, and the state governments to completely win the war against banditry.

During the visit, AIG Garba appreciated the total support and assistance Governor Masari has been offering to the Police in Katsina, which has translated to the successes recorded in the fight against crimes and criminality in the state.

He also thanked the state government for the provision of the office accommodation and the AIG’s residence for Zone 14 Katsina.

The AIG promised to reciprocate the gesture by contributing his quota to beef up the security in the Command, zone, and entire country.

He appealed to the State Government to commence the renovation of the new office, provision of logistics support, to enable the immediate and timely relocation of the Zonal Headquarters.

Governor Masari promised to look into the AIG’s request.

He also pledged to render all the necessary support to the Zonal Headquarters, to ensure it functions optimally, to win the war against banditry and other sundry crimes in the state and the zone at large.
