Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has again raised an alarm over the regrouping of Boko Haram members and bandits in some local government area in the state.
The Governor disclosed this during a security meeting with key players and security agencies in Lafia, the state capital. He listed the areas to include Nasarawa, Wamba, Awe, Doma, and Karu respectively.
Governor Sule said apart from the regrouping of Boko Haram members and bandits in the state, he is also worried about the influx of unknown Fulani herdsmen in the state who are coming in from Ondo, Oyo, and other southwestern areas of the country because of the clashes over insecurity.
Sule said already, security personnel in the state have been deployed while the Federal Government is also assisting to comb various locations in the five local government areas for surveillance and protection of lives and property.
The Governor emphasized that he is not taking chances especially with kidnapping of school children in some parts of the country, security personnel have, therefore, been deployed in most of the boarding schools to protect the school children across the state.
