Chadwick Boseman, famed for his role as T’Challa in Black Panther recorded a new win at the 2021 Golden Globes Award by clinching the Best Actor in a Motion Picture award for his role as Levee in the movie – Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.
Boseman was represented by his widow, Simone Ledward Boseman who accepted the award on his behalf. Chadwick passed away last year at 43 to colon cancer after a four year battle which was not publicly known until his demise. In her speech Simone went on to say what Chadwick could have likely said as he received the recognition. Here’s what she had to say
He would thank God. He would thank his parents. He would thank his ancestors for their guidance and their sacrifices,” she said. “He would say something beautiful, something inspiring, something that would amplify that little voice inside of all of us that tells us you can, that tells you to keep going, that calls you back to what you are meant to be doing at this moment in history.
