The Third Mainland Bridge will be finally reopened to traffic on the midnight of Saturday, February 27, 2021.

The Federal Comptroller of Works in Lagos State, Popoola Olukayode, confirmed this to reporters in an interview.

He, however, said both inbound and outbound lanes would be shut to traffic on the midnight of Friday, February 26 to allow the contractors to move the equipment used for rehabilitation and maintenance and to put final touches to the bridge including lane markings and fixing of potholes.

Popoola added that under-water repairs which would start after the full reopening of the bridge would not affect traffic.
