The Senate Committee on Ethics has issued an arrest warrant for the former Interim Management of the NDDC over failure to show up at an investigative appearance.
The Senate is currently investigating the diversion and misappropriation of 6.2 billion Naira. The team led by Prof. Keme Pondei, Effiong Akwa, Caroline Naagbo and Cairo Ojougbo failed to appear for any form of inquiries.
The Senate committee noted duly that it is the fourth time the NDDC management failed to appear and make presentations on how the funds approved as palliatives to the poor and indigenous people of the Niger Delta were misappropriated during the pandemic.
