The Honourable Minister of Women Affiars, Dame Pauline Tallen has condemned the abduction of children from Government Secondary School, Kagara, Niger State.
Tallen in a statement said the act further shows that criminal gangs in the country are callous and have no respect for the dignity of human beings as enshrined in our laws and religious books.
She added that as a mother, she pleads with the abductors to please have the fear of God and exercise a little compation by releasing these young Nigerians.
And that Keeping these innocent citizens in captivity, for no offense committed by them, is not the right thing to do no matter the grieviences.
The women affairs minister also called on the parents of the abducted students to conduct themselves in a calm way to enable government come to the rescue of the children and believes that government is on top of the situation.
