Controversial Kano Cleric, Sheikh Abduljabbar Nasiru Kabara has withdrawn a fundamental right suit he filed at federal high court kano challenging his suspension from preaching by kano state government.
His Counsel, Mahmud Bakore told the court on thursday that his client has opted for settlement with the state government instead.
The Islamic cleric was banned by the Kano state government from preaching. His schools and mosques were also closed.
This action by the kano state government followed complaints by some Islamic clerics in the state against the methods of his controversial preaching considered damaging to the reputation of companions of the holy prophet Muhammad.
Sheikh Abduljabbar approached the court seeking remedy.
However , at the resumed hearing on the matter, Counsel for the sheikh told the court that they are withdrawing the case and prefer out of court settlement with the Kano state government.
The trial jugde, justice Lewis Allagoa struct out the case.
