The Nigerian Youth Democratic Party, NYDP has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to retrench the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, with immediate effect, over its claims of putting the nation in financial jeopardy.
The chairman of the NYDP, Barry Avotu, who made the call during the unveiling of its Board of Trustee chairman in Abuja, accused the CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele of carrying out activities which have staggered the nation’s economy for too long.
Mr Avotu, however, added that the CBN governor’s replacement has become necessary considering the fact that the nation has slumped into economic recession twice, under his watch.
