There is a need for the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, to plan for online registration in the nearest future enrollment to allow members to register when it is most convenient for them and provide an opportunity for the party to manage their data.
Former Nigerian Senate leader and prominent leader of the APC, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, stated this in his Akparabong ward, Ikom Local Government Area of Cross River State shortly after re-validating his membership of the APC.
Ndoma-Egba while noting that the registration and membership re-validation exercise of the party was a welcomed idea, said that it is necessary to consolidate cohesion in the party.
He suggested that the exercise should be made continuous to be done online moving forward.
On his part, the APC chapter Caretaker Chairman in Ikom, Erim Egiga, said the exercise in Ikom and its environment has been successful and many people have been responding.
Online membership registration, according to Ndoma-Egba will enable the party to meet up the technological age and enable all interested party members to register irrespective of where they are all over the world.
