The Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, has called for a state of emergency over insecurity.
Ortom while also describing the performance of President Muhammadu Buhari in ending the farmers-herders crisis as abysmal, said the Federal Government failed in protecting farmers from criminal herdsmen.
He said that many of the complicit herdsmen are foreigners who migrated into the country to graze their cattle thus the need to ban open grazing completely
