A Supreme Court in the United Kingdom has ruled that over 50,000 Nigerians currently residing in the Oil Spill regions of the Niger Delta can sue the conglomerate in British Courts.
Based on the premise that the Royal Dutch Shell Company is largely responsible for the pollution in the Ogale and Bille Communities.
The Niger-Delta region of Nigeria has suffered from oil spillage which has affected the quality of their lives for years and also polluting the environment.
