A young girl who identifies herself as Bre @brenyyaaa on Twitter got more than she bargained for after a tweet releasing that she got admitted to 50 schools she applied for.
Bre gained admission into schools such as Michigan State University, Howard University, Penn State University and a plethora of others.
While many were happy to congratulate Bre on the feat, others were not so kind. Some blamed her for ruining the chances of others who may have clinched that spot instead. There were also sentiments on how cost effective it is to apply to so many schools.
The conversation doesn’t end there, considering it is #BlackHistoryMonth, some have taken extra measure to say all those who aren’t happy for her are simply jealous or would have reacted favourably if she were white.
Ultimately, Bre is shocked at the mixed reactions she got from her post and says she will do well to update her feed on what school she eventually decides to attend.
