The Benue state government has asked the Federal Government to reconsider its Special Public Works Programme in the state and make it sustainable and beneficial to the participants.
The State Deputy Governor, Benson Abounu, made the call at the flag-off ceremony of the program in the Makurdi.
Aboun while commending the Federal Government’s initiative said the programme which has a timeframe of three months will later leave most beneficiaries with nothing to do.
