APC Kaduna reassures President Buhari of Party's Unity

As President Muhammadu Buhari departs his home state Katsina to Abuja, after a 4-day official visit where he flagged off the All Progressives Congress, APC, revalidation and registration process, party officials have assured him of unity of the party, in the state.

The assurance is coming from the state’s caretaker committee chairman, Shitu Shitu, following a perceived crack in the party by some aggrieved members.

While President Buhari flagged off the revalidation and registration process of the APC on Saturday, at his Sarkin Yara Ward in Daura, Katsina State, some aggrieved members of the party held parallel meetings at different locations on Sunday.

According to the outcome of the meetings, they accused officials of the party of high-handedness and sought for justice.

Governor Aminu Masari had sounded a warning during a stakeholders meeting on Monday, that he will not allow any faction of the party in the state.

He threatened as contained in the APC constitution to show anyone found wanting, the way out of the party.

It is on this ground that the caretaker committee chairman of the party in the state, Shitu Shitu, debunked the claims of any faction emerging in the state.

On the rumours making the rounds that some members have been suspended, Shitu said it is not true, as the party is undergoing revalidation and registration.

He, therefore, said unless a member goes against the constitution of the party, before such action will be taken.

He said that for now, no receipt of official report to that effect, as the party is one and indivisible in the state.
