One million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been received by South Africa as the country’s first consignment.

The crates of the vaccine produced by British pharmaceutical firm, Oxford Astrazeneca arrived the Oliver Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg this afternoon from India

South Africa is the most affected country on the continent and has recorded almost a million and a half cases, with over forty-four thousand fatalities.
