Students under the umbrella body of the National Association of University Student, NAUS, have stormed the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Bangladeshi High Commission in Abuja demanding fair treatment of Nigerians in the Bangladeshi.

The National President of NAUS, Ijegalu Felix, alleged that Nigerian citizens living in the host country have consistently faced dehumanization, arrest and have been detained without trials for visa fault despite having been issued visas by the Bangladeshi authorities.

The aggrieved student group said that months of call for the government at home to intervene yielded no result.

They added that the peaceful protest to the Bangladeshi high commission and the Nigeria Ministry of Foreign Affairs is to draw government attention to the issue and to take the welfare of Nigerians abroad paramount.
