Mauritius begins roll-out of COVID-19 Vaccines

Mauritius has begun a nationwide coronavirus vaccination, starting with the medical staff at the ENT hospital on Tuesday. In total, a total of 100,000 doses of the AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccines were received from India on Friday.

In addition, 240,000 doses of the Pfizer-BioNtech vaccine are expected to arrive in the country by the15th of February as disclosed by Laurent Musango, the WHO Representative.

Mauritius is one of the few countries deemed COVID-19 safe with a total case count of 568 cases of which 525 recovered with 10 deaths altogether.
