The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has expressed confidence in the amendment of the Electoral Act will be completed before the end of the first quarter of 2021.
The INEC Director for Voter Education and Publicity, Nick Dazang, said the Commission has met with members of the National Assembly who gave their word they will do all they can to ensure amendments of the Electoral Act is completed before the end of March 2021.
Dazang, while speaking to reporters at a workshop on the review of National Voter Education Manual in Keffi, Nasarawa State, said the Commission is confident that the new amendments will seek to improve the function of the card reader because of its successes in improving the electoral process
