The crisis in the Kwara state chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has taken a worsening dimension as stakeholders in the state chapter reject the decision of the APC National caretaker committee to replace the state chairman at the request of the Governor.

The leader of the group, Akogun Oyedepo, spoke to newsmen in Abuja accusing the state governor of trying to consolidate an undemocratic stronghold on the party, an attempt capable of destroying the state.

Oyedepo and other APC stakeholders, while calling on President Muhammadu Buhari to intervene quickly in the situation, said they have rejected the decision of the APC caretaker committee and will reject a move by the governor to continue to run the party like a personal business.
