A pro-human rights group in Edo state has called for an end to what it termed as the continuous violation of citizen’s freedom to association and free speech.
The group during a protest and presentation of a petition to the human rights commission in the state said the continuous arrest and detention of Nigerians is a violation of their right to free speech and against the tenets of the constitution.
They, however, demanded that those arrested for criticizing bad governance be released.
