Two Ministers in Malawi have recently passed away after contracting the dreaded Coronavirus, Malawi authorities have reported.
The Minister of Local Government, Lingson Berekanyama and Minister of Public Works, Sidik Mia both passed away earlier today after contracting the disease a week ago.
Malawi has lost 50 people since the beginning of this year alone and continues to record increasingly higher cases since the first case in April 2020.
Current reports reveal that majority of the cases are returnees from South Africa, which has the highest count on the African continent.
The government is currently considering shutting down schools to curb the spread of the virus.
