The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, Muhammad Babandede has assured Nigerians that the activities of the service remain unaffected despite the fire outbreak, which gutted parts of its headquarters in Abuja, on Sunday, January 10.
Babandede who made the assurance during an address to journalists added that the service will continue with its mandate of registration and issuance of passports and other travel documentation.
He, however, added that although direct connectivity has not been established between the headquarters and its various formations, it will be done within the coming days.
